Who is God?

01 May 2011 19:40:16

God who is he,what he does, where does he live, how can he be pleased. All the questions can be answered if you think a bit deeply to the question. According to me God may be there as some super natural power somewhere above the endless universe managing everyones lives and the universe. The answer started with may be, so even I am not sure about the real existence of God.

If you go by the dictionary or by the big words by big philosophers. God is the creator. The answer for me my God is my parents and for you your parents. People say God gives us happiness and sad moments in life. But our parents always strive to make our life happy. Who is greater the one who gives happiness and sadness or the one who gives only happiness and even their happiness.

From the day one of our birth our nourishment and caring starts. We are born as a stinky raw flesh. They convert us to a civilized person in the society. They give us food to eat, clothing to cover ourselves, shelter to protect us from harsh weather, they send us to school to learn, they give us money to spend on materialistic needs, they teach us the values of life, they give their happiness to us,they in big words give their whole life to bring us up to enjoy the life to the fullest. If someone is giving their whole life for our happiness shouldn't we realize that our parents is our God.

Kids Praying

The answers for the above questions:
God
Who is He?
Parents
What he does?
He toils day and night to make our life happier
Where does he live?
In our home
How can he be pleased?
They are already pleased by you being in their life. The only duty is respect them above all.

I just wanted to give a small story to support the role of Parents in our lives and they are above all the God who we pray.

My friend had decided to purchase some costly stuff which was in his budget. But due to some reason he was not having money to purchase that thing at that moment even though he was earning a decent pay package. Now it was his childhood dream to purchase that. He asked me how to handle the situation , even I was not able to give a proper answer. Then he realized that he will speak to his father. He said everything to his retired father. The next moment his father arranged the required amount to fulfill his childhood dream to own what he wished. This itself proves even though his father was retired from work and he must be in some financial crunch. He gave importance to his sons dream.

Instead of flocking to shrines to offer prayer to man made God , help your parents in their needs and be a support to them.

Moral : Be good to them. Nothing more can please them other than being good and nice.

My dear Ketan,I read your letter as well as a short note on who is God. I appreciate that you respect your parents but at the same time you mentioned that do not offer prayers to man made God, which I have not liked it. He is the one who has created all of us. God gives us whatever we need, on his own. If you pray God and ask for any particular thing, then he gives us, for which we have to thank him. Without him nothing can happen. So I partially agree with you.Do believe in God.Please do not write anything ill about God. If you do, please do not post me. Thanks,Your ever loving periyamummy.
