Hachiko: A Dogs Story

19 Feb 2012 14:19:18

I was told by my colleagues to see the movie Hachiko A Dogs tale. I saw the rating of the movie in imdb, it was good. As it had Richard Gere, and the movie had a cute Dog in it I decided to watch the movie.

The movie was very good. It really made me think a lot about some heavy words like love, loyalty, friendship, bonding.

Movie revolves around a dog named Hachi who gets lost in a rail road. One traveller named Wilson of the rail road finds the dog on that fine day and decides to bring it home till he finds the real owner. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to find the real owner of the dog, Wilson decides to keep the dog at his home after some initial hiccups with his spouse. Hachi comes out to be a well bred dog.

As a part of his own affection Hachi goes with his master Wilson to the rail road everyday and goes to the rail road every day to welcome his master when he comes back. This routine happens for almost two years. Every one in the rail road gets surprised to find such a wonderful dog who never misses a chance to welcome his master when he comes back tired from work.

No one knew after the beautiful days of play Hachi has to undergo the ugly days ahead.

Like everyday Hachi was waiting for his master to come back from work. But his master never returned. He never knew what happened to his master. His master died that day.

Everyday Hachi used to come to the rail road and wait for his master. It never knew his master died, but it came every day to receive his master who never came back.

It came every day for the next nine years with the hope to find his master. Onlookers who were regular with the rail road were surprised to find Hachi coming everyday and waiting for his master on the same place. In the end it died due to illness.

After watching the movie I couldnt stop myself rethinking a lot about Hachi. Eventhough it was a heart touching movie, I stopped myself to get emotional. As compared to my other colleagues who were in tears when they saw the last scenes of the movie.

It is a must watch for all movie lovers.

Check out the IMDB for the rating and casting and Wiki to know that Hachi was a real story of a Dog in Japan.

Moral : Hachiko a must watch for everyone. It direclt or indirecly reaches a lot of human values which is forgotten by us.

Nice post ketan bhai:o) Dogs are the best friend any human can have! You will never forget the time you spent with the dogs.

I like to share One of my old thought/lines about dog here

"I LOVE DOG :)!
Coz he is not lik humans !
He lives his life so happily.

BITES d 1 who's irritating him wit no mercy.
CRIES wen he's alone.
Shows his LOVE by licking you.
SHOUTS if he dont like something.
RUNS if he want to play.
Neva Bothers wat others saying.
Totally he ENJOYS his own life in his own style
& he always do wat he want to do.

I wanna be a dog in my next life ? !! "

@Prajwal : Well said . Today morning I saw a dog and its owner, I was just stunned. The owner was speaking to the dog and the dog was listening to him.
