About a year ago I was bitten by a bug named as
RUN. Now after a year I am quite satisfied about the way things have moved with respect to my running routines and achievements.
Today I can proudly proclaim and shout with the whole of my energy
YAHOOOO I have
completed a whole year of running
It was not easy for me to hit the road with the running gear everyday, but in the end of every run it gave a strange happiness and satisfaction.
The running streak started on 24 April 2012. As per calculation on 23 April 2013 a year (365 Days) got completed. Today on 24 April 2013 I celebrated my first anniversary of running streak. I ran this run on my favorite track in Worli Sea Face, my wife accompanied me during this run.
I wish we both run together very soon.

Some of the
challenges which I faced during my running streak which I faced and overcame. Even with many other
challenges and hardships I was successful in running everyday. Listing some of them.
1)
Work timings - Thanks to my boss and colleagues who were supportive to allow me to leave early from work place at times to complete my run if I missed to run in the morning.
2)
Health Issues - Couple of stomach aches and sore legs almost made me quit my running streak, but somehow I mustered the courage to run even during those bad health days.
3)
Bad weather - I had run in many wet, sunny and cold weather conditions. Due to some heavy
rains it made the run quite difficult but not impossible.
4)
Relatives and Friends - Many of my relatives and friends were quite worried about my every day running. It was quite difficult for me convince them and run peacefully.
5)
Travel - Some travel days were difficult as it created heavy tiredness due to the travel. Even with the tiredness I ran and felt better after that.
6)
Distance Measurement - I had to run on a specific travel route which was measured by my bike or a running track whose distance was known, which made me to run only on those specific paths. Thanks to
Pravin who gave me Garmin Forerunner 410 GPS watch. The distance calculation is done by the watch during the run which facilitates me to run anywhere without thinking about the distance.

After this one year of running some of my next challenges which I would like to accomplish along with my running streak are
a) Run a 30 KM
b) Train and Run 2014 SCMM Full Marathon
c) Run a Half Marathon everyweek
Hopefully to accomplish these challenges.
Moral : 1 Year of Running Streak was a mere pleasure.
